What data we collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored securely via our authentication provider).
• Pet information: pet names, breeds, ages, weights, photos, vaccine records, behavioral notes, and emergency contacts — provided by pet owners.
• Booking data: service types, dates, times, status, and any notes attached to appointments.
• Payment information: PawsKeeper does not store full credit card numbers. Payment details are handled securely by Stripe.
• Usage data: app interactions, device type, browser, IP address, and error logs — used to improve performance and fix bugs.

How we use your data

• To provide and operate the PawsKeeper platform — booking management, messaging, notifications, and payments.
• To send you important notifications about bookings, messages, and account activity.
• To improve the platform, fix bugs, and develop new features based on usage patterns.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect the security of our users.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database service. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized team members with role-based controls. We regularly review our security practices and monitor for vulnerabilities.

Third-party services

We use trusted third-party services to power parts of PawsKeeper:

• Stripe — for processing subscription and service payments.
• Resend — for sending transactional and notification emails.
• Weather API — to display local weather conditions in report cards and planning tools.
• Supabase — for database hosting, authentication, and real-time features.

These providers are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer in encrypted backups or as required by law (for example, financial records). Aggregated, anonymized data may be kept indefinitely for analytics.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can update most information directly in your Settings. To request a full data export or deletion, email us at privacy@mypawskeeper.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

PawsKeeper uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features.
